Salarium Finance
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hamilton Assets LLC, doing business as Salarium Finance ("Salarium," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our websites, applications, and related personal financial planning services (collectively, the "Service").
Salarium Finance is a personal financial planning tool. We are not a bank, credit bureau, investment adviser, tax adviser, or credit repair organization. We do not sell your personal information.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use the Service, and information from service providers or connected accounts that you authorize.
- Account information, such as name, email address, login identifiers, authentication status, subscription tier, and account preferences.
- Financial planning information, such as accounts, account names, balances, transactions, merchants, income, deductions, expenses, budgets, savings goals, debt payments, transfers, cash-flow projections, and related notes or settings.
- Connected-account information from providers you authorize, such as Plaid or similar financial data providers. Salarium does not receive or store your financial institution login credentials.
- Documents and images you choose to upload, such as receipts or paystubs, and extracted information from those documents.
- Subscription and payment information from payment processors, including customer identifiers, plan status, billing interval, and checkout results. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Communications and support information, such as messages, requests, feedback, and related contact details.
- Technical, usage, and security information, such as IP address, device and browser information, log data, diagnostic events, crash reports, approximate location derived from IP address, and actions taken in the Service.
When support usage diagnostics are enabled for your account, we collect account-linked screen visits, foreground and recent-interaction time, button actions, completed changes, error categories, app version, and request performance to troubleshoot problems and understand friction. Field interactions may indicate an edit, cancellation, or validation problem; this usage log does not collect the values you type, financial details, passwords, or raw error messages. These usage events are retained for 30 days. Problem reports you choose to submit are handled separately and may include your description and chosen screenshot.
How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve budgeting, cash-flow, account, transaction, income, debt, savings, document, and AI-assisted planning features.
- Authenticate users, manage accounts, administer subscriptions, process payments, and provide customer support.
- Connect to third-party financial data providers when you authorize a connection and refresh account and transaction data for the Service.
- Analyze usage, troubleshoot errors, monitor performance, prevent fraud or abuse, protect the Service, and enforce our terms.
- Communicate with you about your account, Service updates, security issues, billing, support requests, and policy changes.
- Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect the rights, safety, and property of Salarium, users, and others.
Legal Bases For Processing
Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR require a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on the following bases depending on the context:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Creating and managing your account, providing requested Service features, processing subscriptions, and customer support. | Performance of a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract. |
| Connecting financial accounts, importing user-authorized data, sending certain communications, or using optional features where consent is requested. | Consent, which you may withdraw where applicable. |
| Security, fraud prevention, debugging, analytics, service improvement, business operations, and enforcing terms. | Legitimate interests, balanced against your rights and expectations. |
| Tax, accounting, legal compliance, lawful requests, dispute handling, and recordkeeping. | Compliance with legal obligations or legitimate interests, depending on the requirement. |
Connected Financial Accounts
If you choose to connect a financial institution, you will be directed through a third-party provider flow. That provider may collect your credentials or authentication information directly under its own terms and privacy practices. Salarium receives only the account, balance, transaction, identity, or other financial data you authorize the provider to share with us for the Service.
Connected AI Assistants
You may connect Salarium to ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Claude (Anthropic) using Salarium sign-in. The assistant retains OAuth access and refresh tokens; Salarium does not give it your password. Sign-in alone does not permit sharing: you must separately review and allow the relevant connector in Settings under AI data sharing.
When you use an enabled connector, requested information may include your profile, account names and balances, transactions and merchants, income, expenses, budgets, debt payments, savings contributions, and cash-flow projections. It is sent to OpenAI for ChatGPT or Anthropic for Claude to answer your questions and is processed under that provider's terms and your account settings with them. The connector is read-only and cannot transfer money or change financial records.
You can withdraw each connector's permission in Salarium Settings to stop future sharing, or disconnect it in the assistant. Withdrawal does not remove information already shared with the provider. These permissions are independent of Salarium's other AI features.
AI Features
Optional AI features send personal financial information from Salarium's servers to Google Gemini, a third-party AI service. We collect this information from entries you make, financial accounts you choose to connect, documents you upload, and calculations made from those records. The in-app permission prompt identifies the data involved before the first transfer for each feature. Declining one AI feature does not stop use of non-AI features or grant permission for another AI feature.
- AI chat: your question and a financial snapshot that can include account names and balances, transactions and merchants, income, expenses, budgets, debts, savings contributions, and cash-flow projections are sent to Google Gemini to answer your question.
- Transaction assistance: transaction dates, amounts, merchant names, account labels, and available category names are sent to Google Gemini to suggest or automatically assign categories. If enabled, this can happen after new transactions arrive without another action in the app.
- Budget Funnel: account labels, transaction history, merchants, recurring payment details, and outflow categories are sent to Google Gemini to analyze spending and propose a budget when you run this feature.
- Document processing: the contents and extracted text of receipts or paystubs you choose to upload, including financial details they contain, are sent to Google Gemini to extract and organize those details. We also use Amazon Textract for initial text extraction.
- Physical asset valuation: when you choose AI valuation, the asset type and description, which may include an address, VIN, or other identifier, are sent to Google Gemini and Google Search to estimate value. If you separately enable automatic updates, this information is resent about every 30 days until you disable updates or delete the asset.
You can withdraw permissions for chat, transaction assistance, Budget Funnel, and document processing in Settings under AI data sharing. You can disable automatic physical asset valuation in that asset's settings. Withdrawal stops future AI transfers for that feature; it does not undo information already processed. You may request deletion of your Salarium data using the controls described below. Under the paid Gemini API terms applicable to our production project, Google processes prompts and responses under its Data Processing Addendum and does not use them to improve its products. Google may log them for a limited period for safety, security, and legal purposes; see Google's Gemini API terms. AI-generated outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete; review important results before relying on them.
If you report an AI chat response in the app, we collect the report reason and the identifiers needed to locate the response. We use these reports to investigate safety and quality concerns and improve our controls. The report does not itself send additional financial data to Google Gemini.

We disclose personal information only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service or as legally required. Recipients may include:
- Infrastructure, hosting, database, logging, security, and authentication providers.

We review the terms and safeguards of AI providers before sharing personal information with them.
Security

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If an authorized agent submits a request on your behalf, we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
International Transfers
Salarium is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from those in your location.

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
