A little clarity
Straightforward answers about your plan, your accounts and using Salarium Finance.
Salarium Finance is a salary-first cash flow management platform. It brings accounts, paychecks, bills, debt payments and savings plans together so you can see projected balances and what is safe to spend.
Salarium looks at the lowest projected balance in your selected checking account over the next 45 days and subtracts the minimum balance you want to keep. For example, a projected low point of $500 and a safe minimum of $200 leave $300 above that minimum. If the low point is already below your minimum, your forecast has a shortfall to address.
Your bank balance is a snapshot. Safe to spend also considers the upcoming income, planned spending, debt payments, and savings contributions included in your forecast, on the dates and via the accounts you have set. Money in your account today may already be needed before your next paycheck.
Yes. Your plan uses the pay schedule, take-home amount and destination account you confirm for each income source. Bills and other planned outflows use their assigned accounts and dates. Review these inputs when your income or payment schedule changes. Salarium will also make recommendations for updates based upon how your actuals have tracked against expectations.
Paying from checking reduces the cash available in that account when the payment occurs. Paying by credit card uses your spending budget now, but the cash leaves checking when you pay the card. Salarium connects both sides: purchases count against the budget for the period in which you spend, while the cash-flow forecast models card payments using statement cycles, payment due dates and your chosen payment settings. Its revolving-card calculations also account for projected daily interest and whether a grace period applies, using the balances, APR and statement details available to it. You can see how spending today affects both your budget and the cash needed for upcoming card payments. Keep card details and payment choices current; issuer rules and actual charges can differ from a projection. A purchase date is not necessarily the date cash leaves checking.
Salarium's Ledger brings planned activity, pending transactions and posted charges together to help identify what has cleared and what may still be coming. It reserves for expected outflows that have not yet cleared, accounts for pending withdrawals, and spreads remaining budget spending across the rest of the month according to your spending schedule and account settings. Pending deposits are not automatically treated as spendable cash. You stay in control: review reconciliation items, override how an item is handled when needed, and update your plan as circumstances change. Missing activity, outdated balances or incorrect dates can still affect the result. Safe to spend is a planning estimate, not a guarantee of a future balance.
Salarium supports connections to institutions available through Plaid, as well as manually entered accounts. Availability depends on your institution and the account information it provides. Use the connection flow to check your institution; do not assume every bank or account type is supported.
Yes. You can add and manage accounts manually. Keep your manual balances and income, bill and payment details up to date for accurate forecasting. Between balance updates, Salarium estimates today's starting balance by assuming planned activity since your last update occurred as expected through yesterday. For example, a paycheck scheduled for yesterday is included in that estimate while you get around to entering your current balance. This is an estimate, not confirmation that a transaction cleared; update the balance and review your plan if actual activity differs.
You can track physical assets such as your home, car and collectibles alongside your financial accounts. With your permission, Salarium can use AI to estimate an asset's value from the details you provide. Optional automatic updates refresh the estimate every 30 days, and you can apply your own dollar or percentage adjustment to those estimates. You can also choose manual valuation or pause automatic updates. These values help track your net worth; they are estimates, not formal appraisals or guaranteed sale prices, and do not make an asset's value available as spendable cash.
No. Salarium is a planning app with read-only bank connections. It does not move your money or pay bills for you. Continue making payments and transfers through your existing financial institutions.
AI sharing is opt-in for the applicable features. Before the first request, Salarium explains the data involved and the recipients and asks for permission. A subscription or previous use of another AI feature does not grant permission for a new feature. You can withdraw the applicable permission in Settings to stop future sharing for that feature.
The Privacy Policy explains how Salarium Finance handles information and which service providers are involved. Read it before connecting accounts or using features that share data, and contact support if you need clarification.
The subscription is $2 for the first month, then automatically renews at $10 per month until canceled. A free trial is not available because providing connected financial data and AI-assisted features involves ongoing costs, including services from partners such as Plaid, Gemini and Stripe. The $2 introductory month lets you explore Salarium while helping cover those costs. Prices are in USD; review the applicable terms at checkout.
Bank connections and AI-assisted tools have generous usage allowances designed for active personal use. These safeguards help prevent abusive or fraudulent usage of services that incur partner costs and keep the subscription sustainable. Most everyday use is intended to fit comfortably within the allowances, but usage is not unlimited. Your subscription settings show your current limits and usage so you can plan ahead. Manual account management is also available.
